Install the Picture Navigator software.
Refer to the Windows® manual of
your computer for details on basic
Windows® operating instructions.
1. Turn on and boot your computer.
2. Insert the Picture Navigator CD
into your CD ROM drive.
3. The Picture Navigator software
will begin to install automatically.
When the
Welcome
screen appears,
press
Next
to continue.
Note:
If the
Welcome
screen does not
appear, double click
My Computer
,
double click your CD-ROM drive icon,
and double click the
Setup.exe
icon.

Launch the Picture Navigator software and select a COM port.
1. Restart your computer, and launch
Windows®.
2. Launch the
Picture Navigator
software. The
Bookshelf
window
appears.
4. Verify the
Destination Folder
where you want the program
installed, and press
Next
.
5. Click
Finish
to complete the
installation.
3. Select
Preferences
under the
File
pulldown menu to display the
Preferences
menu. Click on
Connect
to display the
Connect
tab.
•
Connect Port:
Enter the number
of the COM port you connected
the camcorder to.
•
Connection:
Select cable.
•
Baud rate:
The maximum rate is
set automatically.
4. Click
OK.
