3.3.3
Accident prevention
Safety and accident prevention regulations are governed by law in every country.
The machine owner is responsible for ensuring compliance with the legal regula-
tions in force in each country.
The following instructions must also be observed:
Never permit unsupervised operation of the single-disc spreader.
Do not ride on the single-disc spreader while it is working or being transported
(no passengers).
Do not use mechanical components of the single-disc spreader to climb onto
the machine.
Do not wear loose clothing. Do not wear work clothes with belts, loose threads
or other items that could snag.
Follow the manufacturer's directions when working with chemicals. It may be
necessary to wear personal protective equipment.
3.4
Information on operating safety
To avoid dangerous situations, the single-disc spreader must only be operated
when it is in a technically safe condition.
3.4.1
Lifting and moving the single-disc spreader
The spreader is delivered from the factory mounted on a pallet.
Only lift the spreader on the pallet by means of a suitable pallet truck or forklift
truck. Note the overall weight.
Never use the hopper or any other non-indicated attachment point to lift or
move the spreader.
3.4.2
Parking the single-disc spreader
Only park the spreader with the hopper empty and on a horizontal, firm sur-
face.
If the spreader is parked on its own (without tractor), fully open the metering
slider. The return spring is relieved, and any water in the hopper will drain out.
