VME Menu
The options in this menu are used to configure the EPC-9’s VME interface:
Arbitration Priority
This option is used to select among the four (0 through 3) VMEbus priority levels used
when the EPC-9 requests the bus for a VME access. Priority level 0 is the lowest
priority while priority level 3 is the highest priority. The default is priority level “0 ”.
Arbitration Mode
This option is used to select the arbitration algorithm that the EPC-9’s VMEbus arbiter
uses when the EPC-9 is the slot 1 controller. Selecting “ Round Robin” configures the
arbiter to “ scan” the bus request lines from highest priority down to lowest priority
and grant the bus to the first requester it finds. Selecting “ Priority” configures the
arbiter to grant the bus to the highest priority requester at any time. The default is
“Round Robin ”.
