must be used to signify binary data. The copy command
takes approximately 5 minutes to transfer the file. When the
transfer is complete, the PC prompt returns.
» Note: The
INSTALL TO DISK CONNECTING
..... message remains in
the message window until the transfer is completed.
9 The software is installed when the following messages
appear:
INSTALL TO DISK
DSK6:
and then
INSTALL TO DISK
COMPLETED
10 Once you have completed installing the system software you
are ready to boot the system. Return to your printer and
press the Menu key. The message window displays the fol-
lowing message:
QMS SOFTLOAD X.X
INSTALL TO DISK
11 Press the Next key until the message window displays the
following message:
QMS SOFTLOAD X.X
BOOT SYSTEM
12 Press the Select key to enter the Boot System submenu. The
following message appears in the message window:
BOOT SYSTEM
HARD DISK
13 Press the Select key and the following message appears in
the message window:
BOOT SYSTEM
HARD DISK 6
14 Hard disk 6 is the internal hard disk. If you have any external
hard disk connected you can cycle through them by press-
