12 Return the tray assembly to the printer by following the
instructions in “Re-installing the Tray Assembly,” earlier in
this chapter.
Centronics to Dataproducts
Conversion
Your printer is shipped with a Centronics parallel port, but a kit for
converting it to a Dataproducts interface is available from your QMS
vendor.
Make sure you have all the parts necessary for the conversion. The
Dataproducts conversion kit includes
n An anti-static wristband
n Two 2-pin shunts (small plastic pieces lined with metal)
n Two DIP resistor packs (a 200 ohm adn a 330 ohm)
n Two SIP resistor packs (not necessary for this procedure)
n A 50-pin to 36-pin cable
1 Follow the instructions in “Removing the Tray Assembly”
(earlier in this chapter), being careful to follow directions for
eliminating static before you begin.
2 Place the two shunts on the two jumpers (JP3 and JP4) near-
est the parallel port.
