To delete a chapter marker:
1. Pause title playback in the chapter whose marker you would like to delete.
2. Select Chapter Marker in the Edit Mode menu and press .
3. Select Delete Marker and press
ENTER
. The recorder will delete the marker for the current
chapter and merge it with the previous chapter.
To delete all chapter markers, instead select Delete All Markers. The recorder will delete all
chapter markers, and the title will then contain only one chapter.
Hiding a Chapter
Using the Hide Chapter option in the Edit Mode menu, you can make the current chapter
invisible during playback. That is, when playing the DVD in playback mode or on other DVD
players, a hidden chapter will be skipped, though it is still on the disc.
Note:
When in Edit Mode, the hidden chapter will still play back.
To hide a chapter:
1. Pause title playback in the chapter you would like to hide.
2. Select Hide Chapter in the Edit Mode menu and press
ENTER
. The recorder will mark the
current chapter hidden so it will not be played back.
Setting an Index Picture
Each title has an index picture that shows in the Title menu. You can set a title’s index picture
using the Index Picture option in the Edit Mode menu.
To set the index picture:
1. Pause title playback on the frame you would like to use as the index picture.
2. Select Index Picture in the Edit Mode menu and press
ENTER
.
Splitting a Title (DVD+RW Only)
If you are using a DVD+RW disc, you can split a title into two using the Split Title option in the
Edit Mode menu.
Note:
Splitting a title cannot be reversed.
To split a title:
1. Pause title playback where you would like to split the title.
2. Select Split Title in the Edit Mode menu and press
ENTER
. The recorder will split the title,
beginning the new title at the current location. This may take a few minutes, depending on
the length of the title.
