3.1 Setting Up the Maxwell
®
CSC 48 Instrument
1. Manually open the instrument door and carefully remove the foam piece from the inside front
of the instrument (Figure 7, Panel A). The Maxwell
®
CSC 48 Instrument door is spring-
loaded and will close itself automatically.
2. Unscrew the four shipping screws from the sides of the front magnet and plunger bar
(Figure 7, Panel B).
3. Slide the magnet and plunger bars downward, and remove the top foam piece from the
instrument (Figure 8)

Remove
the front foam piece.
