Bike Missing From Group Leader Board

Issue
When replacing a Chrono console (or bike and console), an issue may occur where the
replacement bike is missing or disappears from leaderboard and/or studio screens. This is
likely due to a conflict with the console DEVICE ID.
The DEVICE ID is what will appear on a studio leaderboard to identify the connected bike.
At initial installation, the DEVICE ID is a preset 5-digit ID based off the bike SN, which is set
at the factory and is unique to that bike. The DEVICE ID can be changed from the factory
preset manually, but only to a number from 1-99.
A new bike will have its own unique 5-digit ID and there is no way to change it to a different
5-digit ID. Due to this,
it is strongly recommend in any leaderboard situation that all
bikes are manually set with an individual ID (1-99)
to help with bike identification within
the room and leaderboards, and for cases such as this.
Resolution
The ID on the original console needs to be recorded and updated in the replacement con-
sole, or a new ID needs to be set and paired to the leaderboard system.
Procedure
Review entire procedure before starting.
1. Access the service menu on the bike being replaced. See
Access for console access instructions.
2. Scroll to Device ID and note the numerical setting:
a. If a 5-digit ID, the replacement bike will either need to be paired with its own 5-
digit ID, or a new ID will need to be manually set and paired.
b. If the ID is a number from 1-99, note the number and continue to Step 3.
3. Access the service menu on the replacement bike.
4. Scroll to DEVICE ID and enter the numerical setting noted in Step 2.
5. Exit the service menu and verify the bike properly shows on the studio’s screen.
6. If replacing at a
Spenga
location:

Spinner® Chrono™ Power bike.
