Level gauge
When the ignition is on the fuel level is displayed.
f
Please observe the chapter “CAPACITIES” on
page 241.
If the vehicle’s inclination changes (e.g. going
uphill/downhill), minor deviations in the indication
may occur.
Note
If the tank is nearly empty and you top up with only
a small quantity of fuel, this cannot be registered
by the level gauge and cannot be used to calculate
the range on remaining fuel.
Warning light “A”
If less than approx. 10 litres remains in the tank,
the warning light for the level gauge lights up
when the engine is running
.
Additionally, a warning is displayed on the on-
board computer.
f
Fill up at the next opportunity.
Caution!
A shortage of fuel may cause damage to the
emission control system.
f
Never drive the tank dry.
f
If the warning lights have come on, do not take
bends at high speed.
f
Please observe the chapter “EMISSION
CONTROL SYSTEM” on page 182.
If the fuel gauge warning light flashes
, there
is a fault in the system.
Additionally, a warning is displayed on the on-
board computer.
There will then be no reserve warning.
f
Have the fault remedied.
Consult a qualified specialist workshop. We
recommend a Porsche partner for this work as
they have trained workshop personnel and the
necessary parts and tools.
