Printing Barcode Symbols
These specifications provide details about how and where barcode symbols should be printed.
l
Barcodes must be a grade A barcode
l
Barcodes must only be printed in black on white paper only
l
Barcodes should be printed using 600 dpi or greater
l
Barcodes should not be printed over any text or graphics
l
Barcodes should not intersect any perforation in the paper
l
A 6 mm clear zone is required around the barcode
l
No other datamatrix barcodes can be placed in the area in front of the controlling barcode or within
25 mm behind or to either side of it
l
Only alpha numeric characters are supported
Paper (Sheets)
These specifications provide details about what type of paper should be used when printing barcodes.
l
Minimum paper weight 75 - 80 gsm (20 lb)
l
Maximum paper weight 120 gsm (32 lb)
l
A4 and letter size sheets supported
l
Barcodes must be printed in black on white paper only
