6.9 Sub-Addressing
6.9.1 General Description
A Pitney Bowes 9930 with PC I/F ROM (or any fax that can send a sub-address)
can transmit a document via the Sub-address command simply by entering the
Sub-address from the fax control panel. The Sub-Addressing function allows you
to further route, forward or relay documents to a specific workstation on a
computer or telephone network. Only systems using fax hardware/software that
are capable of sending and receiving Sub-address codes can utilize this feature.
Currently there are no fax machines available that allow users to send a Sub-
addressed fax directly from the front panel of the fax machine.
Note: In order to utilize the Sub-addressing function, it must be activated. Call
the Pitney Bowes Diagnostic Center listed in the back of this guide.
