5. There is no universal polling standard. It may not be possible for your Model
9930 to poll certain non-Pitney Bowes machines.
6. If a Delayed AutoDial Send job is stored in the memory, there may not be
enough memory to poll an entire page into memory before printing. In this case
the Model 9930 will automatically poll directly to paper.
7. If the remote station you are polling does not have a polling Passcode, you can
still poll the other machine even if you have programmed a polling Passcode in
your Model 9930. If the remote station you are polling does have a polling
Passcode, your polling Passcode must match for the poll to be successful.
4.6.6 Turnaround Polling
There may be occasions when you have information to send to a location and you
know that the same location has information for you. In such a situation you can
save money by Turnaround Polling.
Turnaround Polling allows you to send pages and then receive pages from the
remote site on the same phone call. Follow instructions below or refer to Section
5.3.4, Sending and Receiving with Programmable AutoDial Jobs.

1. If you need to set a polling Passcode, refer to Section
5.7.1, Step #17 for instructions.
2. Load pages you wish to send into the Document
Feeder face down.
3. Press the VOICE Key and dial the remote fax by either
entering a phone number from the Numeric Keypad
selecting a Speed Dial number, or pressing a One
Touch key. See NOTE #3 on next page.
NOTE: You can only press a One Touch Key if it has one
destination programmed. This will not work properly if
multiple destinations have been programmed for a One
Touch Key.
4. Press SEND/RECEIVE.
5. After hearing the remote fax Ready Tone, press
SEND/RECEIVE twice.
