P r ess TUNER fi r st to access:
MPX – Switches between ste r eo and mono r ece p tion
of FM b r oadcasts. If the signal is weak, then switching
to mono will im pr ove the sound quality (
p age 52).
NOISE CUT MODE 1 o r 2 can be selected when this
unit is r eceiving AM b r oadcasts.

AUTO/ALC/DIRECT
– Switches between Auto
Su rr ound ( p age 57), Auto level cont r ol, O p timum
Su rr ound mode and St r eam Di r ect mode ( p age 60).
STEREO – Switches between ste r eo p layback and

STANDARD

8 AUDIO
– Changes the audio o r channel on DVD o r
BD discs.
DISP – Switches between named station pr esets and
r adio f r equencies.

– Use to select channels fo r DVD/DVR units.
9 REMOTE SETUP
Use to in p ut the pr eset code when making r emote
cont r ol settings and to set the r emote cont r ol mode
( p age 89).
10 TV CTRL
Use this button to set pr eset code of you r TV’s
manufactu r e r when cont r olling TV (see
Selecting preset
codes directly on p age 89 fo r mo r e on this).
11 MULTI-ZONE operation selector switch
Switch to p e r fo r m o p e r ations in the main zone, ZONE 2
and ZONE 3 ( p age 85).
12 Remote control LED
Lights when a command is sent f r om the r emote cont r ol
( p age 89).
13  SOURCE
P r ess to tu r n on/off othe r com p onents connected to the
r eceive r (see p age 89 fo r mo r e on this).
14 MASTER /–
Use to set the listening volume.
15 MUTE
Mutes the sound o r r esto r es the sound if it has been
muted (adjusting the volume also r esto r es the sound).

select the white commands above the numbe r buttons
( A.ATT , etc.)). Also use this button to set u p su rr ound
sound.
