On a channel, where an actuator is
connected, the yellow light diode „OL/CL“ flashes.
After three seconds the light diode flashes permanent in green and the amplifier is
operational.
If an actuator with a measurement system is connected, you can switch on the closed-
loop operation by pressing
the „OL/CL“ button. The light diode of the channel lights in
yellow when this is done.
Switch off the power supply by pressing the POWER button longer than one second.
If the system is switched off a long time (longer than 1 day), please switch off the switch
on the back side of the system.
The function check is complete.

The new digital generation of piezo controllers of
piezosystem jena
,
d-Drive
pro
, combines the
highest positioning accuracy with a unique handling comfort controlled by a PC. It was specially
developed for three channel functions. With the fast Digital Signal Processor (DSP) many functions
are possible.
The
d-Drive
pro
provides exchangeability between actuators and control electronics. All relevant
data are saved on the ID-chip on the actuator and transferred to the controller. Therefore, it is
possible to use a calibrated actuator from
piezosystem jena
with different systems.
We also implemented helpfully features, such as slew rate, notch filter and low pass filter. A built-in
function generator offers sine, triangular, and square functions, as well as noise and sweep. New
features on the
d-Drive
pro
include the freely programmable arbitrary and vector generator. For this
a SD-card is integrated, which self-generated arbitrary and vector files can be saved. The
actuators are separable and exchangeable, due to integrated ID-information. The actuator type,
linearity optimization, and PID-settings are stored on an ID-
chip in the actuator’s plug. The
calibration is done with an integrated pre-amplifier.
In connection with the comprehensive function generator, various trigger outputs can also be
generated. The new designed wobble function generator provides perfect support for the recording
of resonant frequencies of the whole system.
The handling of the integrated SD-card is similar to the handling of standard removable drives such
as a USB port. On this medium, example files for the arbitrary and vector generator can be saved.
Furthermore the user manual and the USB driver are also stored.
All these functions and the 24bit resolution with 50 kSa (50 kHz sampling rate) make the
d-Drive
pro
an excellent choice for more axes nano-positioning and scanning applications, including
scanning microscopy, metrology, surface profiling, cell tracking, nanotechnology, and many other
applications.
