Arc Dimmer Panel Replacement
Parts:
10.9685.0210 16 EA DIMMER BLADE (PANEL), VL500
Tools:
• #1 Phillips screwdriver
• Tweaker Screwdriver
• Cotton Gloves or Finger Cots
• Clean, lint-free (soft) cloth
To remove and replace dimmer panels:
Step 1. Ensure all glass filters and dimmer panels are in closed position.
WARNING:
Remove power from luminaire before performing maintenance.
Step 2. Remove power from luminaire.
Step 3. Set the luminaire head horizontally.
Step 4. Engage service tilt lock to secure luminaire head in horizontal position to access
heatsink latch.
Step 5. Unlatch and swing open front ring.
Step 6. Remove Amber/Diffuser bulkhead by following procedure,
“Amber/Diffuser (or
Dimmer) DICHRO*TUNE Front Bulkhead Replacement” on page 35
.
Step 7. Disconnect actuator screw from swivel coupler using tweaker screwdriver by
carefully prying apart from Drive Ring Link.
Step 8. Open dimmer panels slightly.
Step 9. Remove one 4-40 x 1/8" PPB screw that attaches dimmer panel to Dimmer Carrier.

Step 10. Remove dimmer panel from center hub
