For Type A signs there is a special diagnostic channel which can help when checking sign communication.
It is channel “0A” (the channel right after channel 9). If you set your sign to this channel you will see a
single digit number scroll across the screen. The digit will change every second if there is communication
to the sign. If you see any of the following on the screen it means there is no communication at present:
Same number not changing.
Blank.
The “Take next battery ...” message.
Note: this feature is present in version 4.15 and higher.
