Using the Gas Bag
To fill gas bag for :
1.
Turn the knurle d plastic knob counter clockwise to
unlock it. Use the knurled collar on the valve tube to
gently push the valve tube down, toward the bag.
2.
Turn the knurled plastic knob clockwise to lock the
valve tube in place.
3.
Turn the regulator knob counterclockwise about half a
turn to start the flow of gas. Fill the gas bag about half
full and then close the regulator.
4.
Open the syringe port and empty the bag. Flush the bag
a few times with the calibration gas and then fill it.
5.
To close the gas bag valve, turn the knurled plastic knob
counterclockwise to unlock it. Gently pull the valve tube
up to close the valve. Turn the knurled plastic knob
clockwise to tighten it against the valve tube.
Once the bag has been filled, use the bag and sample as soon as
possible.
NOTE:
Do not use gas bags to sample unstable or highly reactive
compounds. Do not use Tedlar® bags for storage of hazardous
materials.
