Collecting a Spectrum in Reflectance
Collecting a spectrum in reflectance differs from viewing in reflectance as follows
(Figure 8):
•
The sample does not receive light from the illuminator. Instead, the infrared
beam from M2 is directed to M4.
•
The beam is reflected off the sample and back through the other side of the
cassegrain, toward the remote aperture.
•
The detector mirror is moved into the beam above the remote aperture.
•
The MCT cassegrain focuses the beam on to the MCT detector.
