Collecting the Sample Spectrum
Before you can collect the sample spectrum, you must once again center the
sample in the field visually.
1.
Switch the View/IR knob to View.
2.
Return the sample to the center of the field. Do not change the size of the
aperture.
3.
Switch the View/IR knob to IR.
4.
Use the SCAN command to collect the spectrum of the sample; collecting the
same number of scans as you collected for the background.
5.
Remove the variable knife-edge aperture and the sample from the
microscope.
