Assembly Instructions
D2 Installation of Climbing Device-2 RCS 50
Special consoles with 3 climb-
ing rails
■
Three cylinders per climbing unit are
in use.
■
As a result of load redistribution, er-
ror messages may occur at the
pumps or at the end position when
the pressure sensor registers that
the maximum pressure has been
reached. If this happens, acknowl-
edge the error after checking for colli-
sions.
Route the hydraulic hoses and cables
■
Depending on the position of the
pumps, connect the hydraulic hoses
to the left or right of the Climbing
Device-2 RCS 50.
■
Connect the hydraulic hoses in such
a way that they are not pulled up-
wards by the platform during climb-
ing.
■
Arrange the cables to prevent them
from becoming a hindrance or being
damaged.
■
Observe the minimum bending radi-
us of the hoses, see Section C2 “Hy-
draulic hoses”.
■
At the free connections A and B of
the hydraulic unit, connect a short-cir-
cuit connection (short piece of tub-
ing).
Position of the hydraulic units
The hydraulic units are generally at-
tached to the ladder cage (scaffold
tubes or handrail boards) of the working
platform.
Lay hydraulic hoses and lines in such a
way that
■
loops and knots are prevented,
■
no loops overhang the edge of the
platform,
■
they do not get caught on the climb-
ing platforms.
■
they are free of torsion and tension.
To prevent the quick-couplers from col-
liding with the platforms or other parts
of the climbing unit when climbing, it is
possible to equip the climbing devices
with angle pieces.
