5.11.4.5 External store:
You can use U disk as external store. Connect U disk with “USB host” port on the front panel and “U” mark
will be shown on the low-left corner of screen. When storing the arbitrary waveform, generator will ask you to
check “Are you sure to store the waveform?”. Then press

data of five waveforms will be stored in at the same time. When recalling, generator will show “Recall the
waveform from U disk”. Then recall the data from corresponding file in U disk with the input number and the
recalled waveform will be displayed on screen. If you take wrong operation when storing or recalling,
generator will give an alarm and operation will be invalid. External store can make more operator store and
use waveforms selected or modified by themselves. If there is no USB Host on the front panel, no U mark
will be shown at the low-left corner. When storing, generator will ask you to check “Are you sure to store the
waveform?” and “Recall the waveform from U disk” when recalling, operation with internal store.
5.11.4.6 Application of the arbitrary waveforms:
You can recall 10 arbitrary waveforms on the “arbitrary waveform” display interface, and edit or modify 5
user-defined ones of them. After confirming it, press

to return to the standard waveform display
interface, then you can operate and use arbitrary waveform as the same as other standard waveforms.
6.1 Frequency sweep
Frequency sweep means the output frequency changes from start frequency to stop frequency in the sweep
time set in advance. Sweep can be within the whole frequency range. In the process of sweep, the phase of
output signal is continuous. All the waveforms except the pulse wave can be used in frequency sweep. Of
course, making frequency sweep with DC or noise signal is useless.
6.1.1 Start frequency and stop frequency:

to select “start frequency” or “stop frequency”, you can set the start and stop frequencies
respectively. If the stop frequency is higher than the start frequency, the generator begins at the start low
frequency and sweeps to the stop high frequency in an up direction, and then resets back to the start
frequency. If the stop frequency is lower than the start frequency, the generator begins at the start high
frequency and sweeps to the stop low frequency in a down direction, and then resets back to the start
frequency. In the sweep process, you can press

6.1.2 Marker frequency

softkey to select “ marker frequency”, you can set the marker frequency to establish a
marker point of frequency sweep. It must be within the start and stop frequencies, if it is set out of the range,
the instrument will set the marker frequency to midpoint of sweep range.
