10.3.5 Frequency calibration:
Press
〖
Square 0
〗
again to select
〖
FreqCalib
〗
, instrument set the sine wave of 1 MHz frequency and 1
Vpp amplitude, at same time displaying a calibration value. User can measure the output frequency by
frequency counter and adjust it until equal to 1 MHz.
10.3.6 Flatness calibration:
When frequency is less than 1 MHz, output signal won’t vary with frequency, amplitude-frequency
characteristic is fatless. When frequency is more than 1 MHz, output signal will vary with frequency, so user
need to calibrate the output amplitude of different frequency points. Press
〖
Flatness
〗
softkey, instrument
set sine wave of 1 MHz frequency and 1 Vpp amplitude automatically, at same time, displaying a calibration
value. Measure the output amplitude and adjust calibration to make output amplitude equal to 1 Vpp. Then
each time you press
〖
Flatness
〗
softkey, frequency will increase by 1 MHz, adjust calibration to make
output amplitude of every frequency point equal to 1 Vpp until to the peak frequency point.
10.3.7 Edge time calibration:
press
〖
Edge Cal
〗
softkey, instrument select the square wave of 1 kHz frequency and 1 Vpp amplitude
automatically, then set and suggest a raise edge time, at same time displaying a calibration value. User can
measure the raise edge time and adjust the calibration to make the raise edge time equal to suggested
value. Each time you press
〖
Edge Cal
〗
softkey, calibration will be adjusted, user must make the raise edge
time equal to suggested value until it equals to 100ns. press
〖
Edge Cal
〗
softkey again, instrument set and
suggest a fall edge time. User can adjust the calibration to make the fall edge time equal to suggested value.
Each time you press
〖
Edge Cal
〗
softkey, calibration will be adjusted, user must make the fall edge time
equal to suggested value until it equals to 100ns.
User must store the value after calibration, or the data will be lost when power-off. There are 2 non-volatile
memories in instrument, location 0# for default setting, location 1# for user-defined setting, even won lose
when power-off and will be recalled automatically when power-on or resetting. User-defined calibration is
same as default value when out of factory. If user operates the wrong calibration and instrument doesn’t
work normally, please resume the default calibration as following method.
Start calibration: press
〖
Password
〗
softkey to select “Recall”, input location number 0# to recall default
calibration value. Press
〖
Recall
〗
softkey again to select “Store”, input location number 1#,
press
〖
Yes
〗
softkey, so user-defined value is resumed to default value. To prevent the original value from
destroying by careless operation, before storing, instrument will ask whether be sure to store, only you
press
〖
Yes
〗
key, the operation will take effect. To protect instrument’s default setting state, the storage
operation in location 0# is not valid.
Select “password” after calibration storage, input random number except for 6000, calibration is finished and
user can use instrument safely.
10.4. Introduction of additional power amplifier
If user selects power amplifier, a power amplifier board will be supplied in the package. It is an independent
component of the generator, whose input end will be connected to the socket of “power amplifier input” on
the rear panel and amplified signal can be obtained at the end of “power amplifier output” on the rear panel.
The input signal can be output signal of the present generator and also be the signal from other instrument.
