8.10.6 Input impedance:
User has two choices for input impedance in Counter port, when frequency of tested signal is high

signal and incorrect testing result. In this case, user can choose 50

input impedance, but amplitude will be
involved with distortion. Generally, user can choose high input impedance. Pressing

8.11 To set the counter (P 4050)
The generator has a burst counter which can measure the frequency, period, pulse width, duty cycle and the
pulse number of the external signal. Follow the steps to measure the frequency of square wave signal with 1
kHz frequency:
First, to set the sine waveform with 1kHz frequency and 1Vpp amplitude.

Default parameters is used, no need for menu operation. Each time the measuring “Gate” glitters once, the
measuring result 1.00000000 kHz can be displayed.
8.12 System setting

Pressing the key of “System” and selecting “Setup”, the system setting interface will be displayed. The
system parameters can be saved and recalled as well as programmable interface, etc.
8.12.1 Saving of parameters:
Pressing the key of “System” and selecting “Store”, all the present parameters can be saved. 40 groups of
parameters can be saved in the numbers 1 to 40. Saving no.0 is malfunction.
8.12.2 Recall of parameters:
Pressing the key of “System” and selecting “Recall” and any number from 1 to 40, corresponding group of
parameters can be recalled. No.0 stands for the default parameters. As the parameters are recalled, the
actual output signal will be renewed according to the new parameters.
8.12.3 Selection of interface:
Pressing the key of “System” and selecting “Interface”, different programmable interfaces can be selected.
The default selection is 0 and USB interface.
