Communications
All drive/controller communications are based on Ethernet. The IPA may be connected directly to any
appropriately configured Ethernet port. The drive IP address will be 192.168.100.xx, where xx is defined by the
address selection switches on the unit’s front panel.
RJ-45 Ethernet Status LEDs
The first step in troubleshooting communications is to observe the state of the RJ-45 Ethernet Status LEDs. (Figure
30 shows their location on the drive’s dual-stack RJ-45 socket.) These LEDs indicate any Ethernet connection, as
described in the next table. Note that for a standard 100Mbps connection, both the yellow and green LED should
be illuminated. For a 10Mbps Ethernet connection, the Yellow LED should be illuminated and the Green LED off.
