If the [AGC (audio)] setting is changed after configuring [Audio detection], the volume of the sound that
is detected with [Audio detection] may change. In this case, make sure to check the [Audio detection]
setting.

Audio transmission/reception
[Audio transmission mode]
Select the communication mode used for audio data transmission/reception between the camera and the PC
from the following:
•
Off:
Does not receive/transmit audio between the camera and the PC.
•
Mic Input (To PC):
PC receives the audio data from the camera. On the PC, the image can be viewed
together with the accompanying audio. The image and audio are not synchronized.
•
Audio output(From PC):
Transmits audio data from the PC to the camera. Audio can be heard from the
speaker connected to the camera.
•
Interactive(Half-duplex):
Both reception and transmission are available. However, audio data cannot
simultaneously be transmitted and received.
•
Interactive(Full-duplex):
Both reception and transmission are simultaneously available.
•

Howling may be generated depending on the usage conditions. Prevent sound generated by the PC
from entering the PC microphone.
•
When “Multicast” is selected for “Transmission type” on the [Image] tab of the “Image/Audio” page,
audio output will become unavailable while monitoring H.265 or H.264 images. To perform audio
output, click the [JPEG] button on the “Live” page.
•
If you have set the “Audio out” to “Monitor”, you can only set the “Audio transmission mode” to “Off” or
“Mic Input (To PC)”.
•
“Audio recording” and “Audio detection” are not available when “Interactive(Half-duplex)” is selected
for “Audio transmission mode”.
[Mic input interval (Camera to PC)]
Select an interval for audio reception from the following.
20ms/ 40ms/ 80ms/ 160ms

When a shorter interval is selected, the delay time will be shorter. When a longer interval is selected,
audio interruption may be diminished even though the delay time will be longer. Select the interval
according to the network environment.
•
“Mic input interval (Camera to PC)” is unavailable when “AAC-LC” is selected for “Audio input encoding
format”.
