9-2-3. S uspending th e Indoor U nit
D epending on the ceiling typ e:
1. Check the suspension b olt pitch.
2. Ensure that the ceiling is strong enough to support the w eight of the unit.
3. To preve nt the unit f rom dropping, f irmly f asten the suspension b olts as show n in the f igure b elow .

It is important th at you use extreme care in supporting th e indoor unit inside th e ceiling.
Ensure th at th e ceiling is strong enough to support th e w eigh t of th e unit.
B efore suspending th e unit, test th e strength of each attach ed suspension b olt.

W
hen placing the unit inside the ceiling, determine the pitch of the suspension b olts ref erring to the dimensional data giv en prev iously .
Tub ing must b e laid and connected inside the ceiling w hen suspending the unit.
If the ceiling is already constructed, lay the tub ing into position f or connection to the unit b ef ore placing the unit inside the ceiling.
(2) Screw in the suspension b olts allow ing them to protrude f rom the ceiling as show n in F ig. 1- 18. (Cut the ceiling material, if necessary. )
(3) Suspend and f ix the indoor unit using the 2 hexagonal nuts (f ield supply) and special w ashers (supplied w ith the unit) as show n in
F ig. 1- 19.

In using a v inyl h ose instead of a lev el, adj ust th e top surface of th e unit to
th e surface of th e w ater at b oth ends of th e v inyl h ose and mak e h orizo ntal
adj ustment on all 4 corners of th e unit.
If th e air disch arge side of th e unit is installed dow nw ard, splash ing w ater
or w ater leak may occur.
A lso, th e dust may accumulate inside th e drain pan caused b y draining
residual w ater.

h en lifting th e unit, do not attempt to h old th e electrical component b ox in
h and.
• D
o not leav e th e drain pan of th e unit dow nw ard for long h ours.
If doing so, th e insulation material can b e crush ed.
C rush ed insulation can lead to condensation.
