To dub using equipment with a USB terminal
You can dub by connecting a USB 2.0 cable.

Use the AC adaptor to free you from worrying about the battery running down.

Turn on the unit.
≥
Press the THUMBNAIL button to switch this unit to the Playback Mode. (

USB 2.0 Cable (commercially-available)

Connect the Micro-B connector of the USB 2.0 cable, which matches this unit’s USB port in
shape.

Insert the plugs as far as they will go.

Select the menu.

Connect the unit to the Blu-ray disc recorder.

The USB function selection screen will appear on the screen of the unit.

Touch [RECORDER] on the screen of this unit.

When you select an option other than [RECORDER], reconnect the USB 2.0 cable.

Touch the media you wish to dub.

When using the battery, the LCD monitor turns off after about 5 seconds. Touch the screen to turn
the LCD monitor on.

Dubbing through operations on the Blu-ray disc recorder.

Do not touch [CHANGE MEDIA] on the screen of the unit during dubbing.
≥
A USB 2.0 cable is not supplied with this unit. Use a commercially-available double-shielded
USB 2.0 cable with a ferrite core.If possible, we recommend using a cable with a length of 1.5 m
or less.

For details on dubbing and playback methods, read the operating instructions of the Blu-ray disc
recorder or DVD recorder.

When you connect the unit to a Blu-ray disc recorder, a dubbing operations screen may appear
on the television connected to the Blu-ray disc recorder. In this case as well, perform the
operations of Steps 2 to 5.

About the screen indication of the unit
When the unit is accessing the SD card, card access icon (
) appears on the unit screen and
the access lamp is on.

Be careful not to disconnect the USB 2.0 cable, AC adaptor or battery while the unit is
accessing the media, as this may result in the loss of recorded content.
