1) If a Programming Console is connected to the peripheral port of the CPU Unit while
operating the Programming Console function on the PT connected to the RS-232C
port of the CPU Unit, the Programming Console function of Ladder Monitor will be
disabled.
2) When the PT is connected to the peripheral port of the PLC, a CS1W-CN118
RS-232C Conversion Cable is required.
Note
To use the Programming Console function, the following settings are required.
•
Set the unit number to 0 on the Comm. Tab of the System Menu of PT.
The Programming Console function will not operate if any number except 0 is set for
the unit number.
•
Turn OFF pin 1 of DIP switch on the PLC to enable writing.
If pin 1 is ON, the Programming Console function will not operate.

•
If touch switches are pressed in rapid succession, their inputs may not be
successfully received. Confirm that the input of a touch switch has been
successfully received before pressing the next touch switch.
•
Press the Exit Button to end the Programming Console function after the operation.
Do not remove the cable or turn OFF the power to the PT while operating the
Programming Console function. Doing so may cause a communications error
between the PLC and PT.
1. Press the
Menu
Button in the Ladder Monitor Main Menu and select
Prog Console
Start
from the menu.
2. A confirmation dialog box will appear. Press the
OK
Button to start the Programming
Console function. Press the
Cancel
Button to exit the confirmation dialog box.
