Basic Online Operations
This section describes the procedure for online operations. Make sure that
you read through the material before performing online operations.

Connecting the Mobile Console
The Mobile Console can be used by connecting it to the USB port on an
NE0A/NE1A-series Controller.
When the Mobile Console is connected to the USB port of an NE0A/NE1A-
series Controller, the following Main Window will be displayed. The device sta-
tus will be displayed in the Main Window.

If the USB cable is removed and reconnected to a different NE0A/NE1A-
series Controller after the Mobile Console has been connected online, tap the
Connect
Icon.
Device Status
The device status is indicated by the following colors.

Specifying Network Numbers
DeviceNet Safety supports building more than one network. Even if the user
system contains only one network, a network number must be set.
For the Mobile Console to communicate with a device in the following cases,
the network number must be specified.
• To connect to a device that is still in the default status, e.g., when replac-
ing a device
• When resetting a device to the default status from the Mobile Console
