This section describes only the differences between the Segment Program 3
(Block Model 158) block and the Basic PID (Block Model 011) block. For infor-
mation not covered here, refer to
6-1 Basic PID (Block Model 011) .
For details on Segment Program 3 operating specifications and functions,
refer to the
Loop Control Unit Function Block Reference Manual (Cat. No.
W375). For details on setting scaling for function blocks, refer to the CX-Pro-
cess Tool Software Operation Manual (Cat. No. W372) .
6-19-1 Face Plate
1: Status Display, Alarm Status Display
There is no Alarm Status Display in Segment Program 3. The Status Display
indicates the status of X1 input errors (Tag ITEM U1 (ITEM 015)).
These buttons are created as ON/OFF Buttons using a Select Shape of type 1
to switch the graphic displaying PV error characters. Control Flag input is dis-
abled.
2: X1 Display
The fixed text “X1” is displayed as a label.
3: X1 Numerical Value Display
A Numerical Display and Input object is used to display the value of tag ITEM
X1 (ITEM 007). The reference input value is displayed in engineering units. A
Control Flag is set to disable input.
