4 Checking Your Blood Glucose
Blood glucose results
When the PDM displays your blood glucose result, it adds an on-screen message
if the result is especially high or low (see "How the PDM reports blood glucose
results" on page 44).
To bolus or not to bolus?
1. To add an informational tag to your blood glucose reading, see "Tagging the
Blood Glucose Results" on page 45.
2. If you do not want to deliver a bolus, press
Done
.
3. If you want to deliver a bolus and:
a. The Bolus Calculator is on, press
Next
and go to step 4 on page 48.
Note:
If your blood glucose reading is below your Minimum BG for Calcs
or reads HIGH, the Bolus Calculator, even if turned on, is temporarily
disabled. Follow your healthcare provider's treatment suggestions.
b. The Bolus Calculator is off, press
Bolus
and go to step 4 on page 50.
Note:
If your blood glucose reading is below 3.9 mmol/L or reads HIGH,
follow your healthcare provider's treatment suggestions.
Note:
The blood glucose reading is automatically saved in your
BG history
records.
