Causes
1. No transfer charging.
2. No LSU laser is output.
3. No developing bias is output.
Causes Check procedures/corrective measures
1. No transfer charging.
A. The connector terminals of the transfer
high voltage PWB make poor contact.
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the connector
cable. If none, remedy or replace the cable.
B. Defective engine PWB. Check if YC6-11 on the engine PWB goes low when maintenance item
U101 is run. If not, replace the engine PWB.
C. Defective transfer high voltage PWB. Replace the transfer unit (see page 1-6-61).
2. No LSU laser is output.
A. Defective laser scanner unit.
Replace the laser scanner unit (see page 1-6-42).
B. Defective main PWB. Check if YC1-14 on the main PWB goes low when maintenance item
U101 is run. If not, replace the main PWB.
3. No developing bias is output.
A. Defective engine PWB.
Check if YC7-5 and YC7-6 on the engine PWB go low when maintenance
item U101 is run. If not, replace the engine PWB.
B. Defective high voltage PWB. Check if developing bias voltage is output when the engine PWB is nor-
mal while maintenance item U101 is run. If not, replace the high voltage
PWB.
