Additional settings
The incorporation of the Fax2Net function requires the addition of various
settings to this fax machine. An explanation of each of the settings is given
below.
Menu - facsimile network
The new settings added for Fax2Net are located in the seventh level (Fax
Network Programming) of LOCATION PROGRAMMING in the opera-
tions menu.
Fax2Net server telephone number
This is the telephone number (40 digit max) of the nearest Fax2Net server.
When using a PBX, you must program in the dial prefix for accessing an
external telephone line.
Account number
Each terminal registered with the Fax2Net Service is assigned an identifi-
cation (account) number and a personal identification number (PIN).
Please note that the account number has ten digits and the PIN has a
maximum of four digits making a maximum of fourteen digits.Both
account number and PIN are provided by the ISP who is providing the
Fax2Net service.
For example: Account No. 2305818699, PIN 1234; then enter
23058186991234.
International prefix
This number (10 digit max) is used to determine when to start the Fax2Net
service (3 prefixes can be registered). If the first segment of numbers in
the destination telephone number match the registered number, dialling to
the Fax2Net server is prompted.
If DIAL PREFIX for a PBX has been set, THEN the numbers following
the DIAL PREFIX (and subsequent hyphen, blank or pause) are compared
with the international telephone prefix. If these numbers match the regis-
tered number, dialling to the Fax2Net server is prompted.
However, if a "+" is registered in front of or after the international prefix,
Fax2Net server is not called and the fax transmission becomes a normal
international telephone call.
