7.7.4 Operating MAC in Non-discriminating Mode
When operating MAC in non-discriminating mode, make sure to reset hardware or execute an
MLME-RESET.request. Non-discriminating mode starts when Promiscuous mode (PIB-ID: 0x51) of the MAC
PIB attribute is set to 1 or 2.
MAC mode (0x00) : MAC function will be executed.
Non-discriminating mode 1 (0x01): Frames received after CRC in the PHY layer will be transmitted to the
HOST.
Non-discriminating mode 2 (0x02): Frames received when no CRC is performed in the PHY layer will be
transmitted to the HOST.
The procedure is shown below.
1) Transmit an MLME-RESET.REQUEST to MAC. (SetDefaultPIB: TRUE)
2) Set Logical Channel (0x0B to 0x1A) for non-discriminating mode reception.
3) Set non-discriminating mode. (PIB-ID: 0x51 Promiscuous mode)
