7.  Troubleshooting

(3)  Draw out the jammed paper gently with care. 

If top of the jammed paper is visible.

 

Draw out the jammed paper toward inside of a printer gently with care.

If both top end and rear end of the jammed paper are invisible.

 

Move the jammed paper in the direction shown by the arrow, and draw out the 
jammed paper gently with care.

If rear end of a jammed paper is visible

 

While pressing the lever of the fuser unit in the direction shown by the arrow, 
draw out the jammed paper gently with care.

Jam recovery method   

Duplex unit (option)  (Code: 370, 371, 373) 

(1)  Press the jam release lever of the duplex unit to open the duplex unit cover.

Fuser unit

Paper

Jam release lever of fuser unit

Duplex print unit

(4)  Return the image drum cartridges back to the original positions.

(2)  Draw out the jammed paper gently with care. 

 

If the jammed paper is invisible, close the duplex unit cover once. Then, the jammed 
paper will be ejected automatically.

Note!

  Before removing the duplex unit, be sure to turn OFF the power of the MFP.
