“TO” - Output Tri-State Voltage
Status of each tri-state output can be exported using 2 bits in each byte.
Status is displayed as:
- 0 = 0 V
- 1 = 2,5 V
- 2 = 5 V
“OFL” - Output Fault Status LSB
Status of an operational fault status for any output channel can be sent, using 1 byte each channel.
The fault status is transmitted as a combination of:
Fault status
Fault Hex Value
Decimal Value
Output OFF
0x00
0
Output ON
0x01
1
Shutdown, too high voltage
0x02
2
Shutdown, too low voltage
0x04
4
Shutdown, open load
0x08
8
Shutdown, over current low OCL
0x10
16
Shutdown, over current high OCH
0x20
32
Shutdown, too high temperature
0x40
64
Shutdown, over current software OCS
0x80
128
Shutdown, over current software OCS retry
0x100
256
Channels not supported are:
- Low power 29, 30, 31 and 32.
- All PWM channels
- All tri-state outputs
- All VREF sensor supplies
Displaying a value of 0 the channel is switched off.
Displaying a value of 1 the channel is switched on.
Displaying a value of 8 the channel is switched off and has no load connected to it.
Error status codes are normally shown as a combination of numbers:
Displaying a value of 17, PCM2 is trying to switch the channel on, but the current draw has
exceeded the low hardware (OCL) threshold and has gone into an error status.
Displaying a value of 33, PCM2 is trying to switch the channel on, but the current draw has
exceeded the high hardware (OCH) threshold and has gone into an error status.
Displaying a value of 129, PCM2 is trying to switch the channel on, but the current draw
has exceeded the software (OCS) threshold and has gone into an error status.
Using the Reset event to reset any outputs in error status does not clear this diagnostic.
In general, switching a channel OFF then ON will attempt a restart even if the channel has failed
earlier.
Only channels which have failed will be reset.
To clear diagnostic, look in the tools main menu in "Device". Clicking on "Reset Output Counters"
will reset diagnostics. See section 4.2.9.
“VVL” & “VVM” - Vehicle Battery Voltage
Battery voltage is handled in mV.
Battery voltage between 0..255 mV is exported in LSB.
Battery voltage between 256..65,535 mV is exported in MSB.
Battery voltage in mV can be exported using 2 or 1 bytes, depending on the required resolution.
