■ Single Tap
Tap the side panel of the FOMA terminal with a
finger once.
■ Tilt the FOMA terminal
Tilt the FOMA terminal from right to left or forward
and backward. To operate the FOMA terminal by
tilting it, single-tap the FOMA terminal. While the
operations are available, the guide display appears.

Operation by tilting the FOMA terminal is based
on the position of the FOMA terminal when
the operation becomes available by single-
tapping the FOMA terminal and the operation
is performed according to the tilt of the FOMA
terminal. The operation is stopped when the
FOMA terminal is placed in the basic position.

Operation by tilting the FOMA terminal is canceled
when you single-tap the FOMA terminal again or
after about five seconds past without any operation.
■ Rotate the FOMA terminal
Rotate the FOMA terminal in 90 degrees.
■ Double Tap
Tap the side panel of the FOMA terminal with a
finger twice continuously.
● You can set whether to make the Motion sensor available for operations (P.372).
● Operation by the Motion sensor can be tried or practiced at the Training mode (P.373).
How to Use the Motion Sensor
Motion sensor is a function that allows you to operate several functions of the FOMA terminal by
tilting, rotating, or tapping the FOMA terminal instead of being operated by the keypad.

The following functions can be operated by the Motion sensor.
- While displaying an image (P.307) - While playing back the Music slide show (P.308)
- While playing back a movie (P.313) - Full Browser (P.291)
- 1Seg (P.270, 271) - While incoming a voice/videophone call (P.67)
- When the mail reception is completed (P.192) - While playing back a PC movie (P.303)

To use the Motion sensor, make sure that your surroundings are safe to use and do not shake
it around unnecessarily. If the FOMA terminal hits a person or objects, it may cause a serious
accident or damage.
