5. PTZ CAMERAS CO-TROL A-D CO--ECTIO-
NV-DVR5108 and NV-DVR5116 are able to control up to 16 cameras through RS-485 port
connected in daisy chain. Daisy chain cannot exceed 1200m and branches from the main line 1.5m.
You can control PTZ cameras, motor-zoom cameras with optical or digital zoom. You can control
cameras from main panel of DVR, Internet Explorer or Ras+ software. To control cameras you have to
asign to each camera address.
DVR’s have many buitin control protocols like: Novum-C, Novum-C1, Pelco-D
-ote: All cameras should have the same protocol and baud rate (see camera instructions)
Presented connection description is dedicated to Mamai Novus camera. To connect cameras of
different producent please contact your Novum distributor and read instruction of the camera.

For PTZ cameras control you can also use RS-232 port. In this case you need to use RS232—
RS-485 converter. It is required in case of connection keyboard and PTZ cameras to the DVR in the
same time.
5.1 -ovus PTZ cameras connection.
PTZ cameras are connected in daisy chain with UTP5 cable. Cametras are connectedto RS-485 port.
Daisy chain cannot exceed 1200m and branches from the main line 1.5m.
