CONNECTING DEVICES TO ALARM INPUTS AND OUTPUTS
6. CONNECTING DEVICES TO ALARM INPUTS AND OUTPUTS
Connecting devices to alarm inputs and outputs.
NDR-HB4416 recorder feature 16 alarm inputs (NDR-HB4208 8 alarm inputs) and out allowing you to
connect external devices. Wiring connectors are equipped with clamp terminals.
Alarm inputs/outputs of NDR-HB4416
NOTE:
Alarm inputs and outputs are not lightning-protected. User should protect the inputs against the
electric discharges, that may damage the equipment.
Current load capacity of each alarm input cannot exceed 2 A for 125 V AC and 1A for 30 VDC .
Directly to outputs you can connect e.g. LED (light-emitting diode) creating a circuit (as presented on
the chart below) for each output. If there is a need to connect devices which demand a lot of current
you have to use additional circuits (e.g. with a transmitter). Outputs can work as normally closed or
normally open.
