Focal point
could cause damage to the sensor of the power measurement device.
•
Place a power measurement device beneath the beam exit such way, that
the laser beam illuminates most part of the sensor.
Do not place the sensor in or near the focal point.

Parametrize the laser for visual set up with average power and pulse
repetition rate as low as possible.

5. Maximize the optical power at the beam exit:
a. Measure the optical power with a power meter device.
Eventually it may be necessary to increase the optical power to get a
significant measurement. After measuring do not forget to reduce the
optical power to the previous value.
b. If your scan head has a motorized attenuator then:
