PRECESSION ELEPHANT 2 Scan Head 2
Procedure
– Adjusting the laser beam to the scan head’s optical axis
(raw)
Requirement
•
In the InScript software in the
Node Properties
view of node
Pens
default
<your laser>
on the
Control
tab the
Gate control
has to be set to
Auto
.
8. In the InScript software, load file
AlignmentHelp.jobx
from the
Jobs\PrecessionElephant 1.3 and 2.0
folder of the
InScript Installation
.
9.
CAUTION
Visible or invisible laser radiation
could cause damage to eye or skin
•
Avoid eye or skin exposure to direct or scattered radiation.
•
Parametrize the laser for visual set up with average power and pulse
repetition rate as low as possible.
Start the job
AlignmentHelp.jobx
.
The job rotates the laser beam (with approx. 80 % of the possible displacement)
around the scan head’s optical axis. You can observe a „ring
-
shaped“ laser beam
at the scan head beam exit now.
TIP
If your scan head has an attenuator and/or a polarization unit then you can
observe a substantial intensity loss through the scan head in some cases. In these
cases the scan head was setup for another polarization than the polarization at
your setup. You can preliminary increase intensity by the procedure described in
section
and then return here.
