Installing and removing the SAS-TEC back protector
To install or remove the SAS-TEC protector, open the zip running down
the back of the storage compartment of the harness (see the section on
“Detachable hiking rucksack” above). This zip is used to attach the ITUS ruck-
sack to the harness. Once this zip is opened and the rucksack is detached
from the Velcro surfaces, the insertion pocket in which the SAS-TEC protector
is located can be seen. By unfolding the flap at the upper end, the insertion pocket can
be opened and the SAS-TEC protector can be removed by pulling upwards and slightly
to the side. Then the rucksack can be re-attached. It is important to make sure that the
Velcro surfaces are tightly bonded around all the edges. Then close the zip at the back
of the harness once again.
To install the SAS-TEC protector into the harness, follow the above procedure in
reverse order.
