Setting the storage mode
To set the storage mode:
• Press > 1 (Instr.) > 1 (Storing). Use the cursor
keys (located below the display) to navigate in the menu
as usual and set the storage mode as required.
Other setup aspects
e setup for a monitoring job will depend on the task,
so no absolutes can be given here. However, you should
consider such things as
• What information will you need, and how detailed
should it be?
• Measurement period length
• Profile resolution required (if applicable)
• e need for frequency analysis and bandwidth (if
applicable)
• e functions to be measured (requires extension
and/or )
• e need for statistics (if applicable)
• e type of outdoor microphone unit (for semi-perma-
nent or permanent installations)
• Adaptors needed (if applicable)
• Cabinet or casing required for the sound level meter
• Cables and cable-lengths
• External power to the instrument (batteries or mains
connection)
• Type of connection to remote (modem, modem,
directly wired to the or maybe you will come by at
regular intervals with your to download acquired
data)
