To use the grooving tool (refer to the Parts section for ordering
information), follow these steps:
1. See Figure 3-5. Trim the end of the PTFE tubing (3).
2. Press down on the grooving tool thumb rest (1) and insert the
tubing (3) into the grooving tool as far as it can go. Release the
thumb rest.
3. In the direction of the arrow (2), rotate the grooving tool four complete
revolutions.
4. Depress the thumb rest (1), remove the tubing (3), and inspect the
groove. Make sure the groove is cleanly cut and free of burrs.
5. Cut and groove each tubing end as described in steps 1 − 4.
