Sensor Data Type
When an

sensor with no previously recorded patient data is
connected to the

monitor, a “DATA TYPE: . . .” message is
displayed briefly at the bottom of the display after the

sensor
type message. The message identifies the monitor's current data type
setting that will be used to write data to the
O
XI
M
AX
sensor. The data
type setting options are EVENT/SPO
2
and EVENT/SPO
2
+BPM.
You can change the setting by referring to
on page 87. The

M
AX
sensor event record type must be
set prior to connecting the
O
XI
M
AX
sensor to the monitor.
