Swing the lever down to lock the processor into the socket.
4.
Replace the heatsink by positioning the clamp openings over the top and bottom
socket tabs (see Figure Section 3-16).
CAUTION:
Remember to either reattach the
heatsink used with the old processor or install the
new heatsink supplied with the upgrade
processor.

Check to see if the newly installed processor requires a system board jumper
change (see Appendix C, “System Board Jumpers”).
6.
Replace any boards removed during this procedure.
7.
Reinstall the system unit cover.
