section.

Replace the cover (see “Replacing the Cover” earlier in this chapter).
Installing a DIMM
Use the following steps to install a memory module.
1.
Remove the cover (see “Removing the Cover” earlier in this chapter).
2.
If you need to remove a currently installed DIMM, see “Removing a
DIMM” earlier in this chapter.
Before you install a DIMM, reduce static
discharge by touching the chassis.
3.
Align the notches on the new DIMM with the keys in an empty
memory socket (see the following figure).
4.
Press the DIMM firmly into the socket.
5.
Make sure the locking clips at both ends of the DIMM click closed.
