1. Screen position and phase adjustment
MHPOS: Adjustment of the horizontal display range for the PDP module
MVPOS: Adjustment of the vertical display range for the PDP module
H POS: Adjustment of the horizontal signal position in the display range
V POS: Adjustment of the vertical signal position in the display range
1-1. Video screen position adjustment
The display range shall be correctly adjusted with [MHPOS] and [MVPOS].
(1)
Enter an NTSC monoscopic pattern signal input in the VIDEO input terminal.
(2)
Select the VIDEO input by the use of the remote control or a key of the CTL PWB.
(3)
Assume the factory shipment setting mode with the factory shipment adjusting command of the re-
mote control.
(4)
Assume the POSITION screen by pressing the PROCEED key.
(5)
Press the WIDE key to select the STADIUM mode. (STADIUM mode in initial state)
(6)
If there is any displacement of the display range for the PDP module, press the cursor key [^] or [V] of
the remote control to select [MHPOS] or [MVPOS]. Then, make adjustments by pressing the cursor
key [<] or [>].
(7)
Press the cursor key [^] or [V] of the remote control to select [H POS].
(8)
Make balancing adjustments on the right and the left by pressing the cursor key [<] or [>].
(9)
Press the cursor key [^] or [V of the remote control to select [V POS].
(10) Make balancing adjustments on the top and bottom sides by pressing the cursor key [<] or [>].
(11) Confirm that [H PHA] is kept at 0.
(12) Confirm that [H CLK] is kept at 0.
(13) Similarly, press the WIDE key to select the respective modes of [ZOOM], [NORMAL], and [FULL].
Adjust the horizontal and vertical positions, and confirm that [H PHA] is kept at 0, and that [H CLK] is
kept at 0.
(14) Change over the input signal to PAL monoscopic and repeat the steps of (4) to (14) above.
(15) Withdraw from the factory shipment setting mode. If a remote control for adjustments is used, move its
MAIN/SUB switch to the MAIN side.
1-2. DVD/HD/DTV screen position adjustment
The display range shall be correctly adjusted with [MHPOS] and [MVPOS].
(1)
Enter an HDTV monoscopic pattern signal input in the DVD/HD/DTV input terminal. Using [CONVE-
NIENCE SET] in the MENU screen, press the cursor key [^] or [v] of the remote control to select [HD
SELECT] and confirm that [1035i] is secured.
(2)
Select the HD input by the use of the remote control or a key of the CTL PWB.
(3)
Assume the factory shipment setting mode with the factory shipment adjusting command of the re-
mote control.
(4)
Assume the POSITION screen by pressing the PROCEED key.
(5)
If there is any displacement of the display range for the PDP module, press the cursor key [^] or [v] of
the remote control to select [MHPOS] or [MVPOS]. Then, make adjustments by pressing the cursor
key [< or [>].
(6)
Press the cursor key [^] or [v] of the remote control to select [H POS].
(7)
Make balancing adjustments on the right and the left by pressing the cursor key [<] or [>].
(8)
Press the cursor key [^] or [v] of the remote control to select [V POS].
(9)
Make balancing adjustments on the top and bottom sides by pressing the cursor key [<] or [>].
(10) Confirm that [H PHA] is kept at 0.
(11) Confirm that [H CLK] is kept at 0.
(12) Change over the input video signal to NTSC component and repeat the steps of (3) to (11) above.
(13) Change over the input video signal to PAL component and repeat the steps of (3) to (14) above.
