[31] (PSC DATA fixing output value for VIDEO/YPbPr)
3
PSC LOCK-PC
[OFF] (PSC DATA fixing ON/OFF for PC)
4
PSC LEVEL-P
[31] (PSC DATA fixing output value for PC)
5
APL TIME
[0] (To determine the effective data intervals in the vertical period)
6
PSC UP TIME
[0] (Frequency of vertical period per STEP UP)
7
PSC UP COMP
[3] (Threshold value of PSC UP STEP)
8
PSC DN TIME
[0] (Frequency of vertical period per STEP DOWN)
9
PSC DN COMP
[3] (Threshold value of PSC DOWN STEP)
(3) Withdraw from the factory shipment setting mode by the use of the remote control.
5. Inspection on VIDEO PWB unit
(1) Enter an input of 0.5Vrms in AUDIO 1 and confirm that the outputs at Pins 2 and 4 of the AB connector are
maintained at 1Vrms.
(2) Make the similar confirmation also for AUDIO 2 and 3.
(3) Enter an NTSC gray scale input in VIDEO 2 and 3, and confirm that the waveform observed at Pin 3 of the
MN connector appears as shown in Fig. 2-4.
(4) Enter color bar input and confirm that the waveform appears as shown in Fig. 2-5.
6. Inspection on MAIN PWB unit
6-1. Video signal check
(1)
Enter an NTSC lamp signal input in the VIDEO input circuit and select VIDEO INPUT.
(2)
Confirm that normal gradation change is assured in the video signal that appears in the display.
* This is of no problem even though synchronism turbulence can be seen in the uppermost and
lowermost areas of the screen, or there is a sharp point in gradation changes.
(3)
Select a color bar for the input signal.
(4)
Confirm that normal color reproduction has been accomplished.
(5)
Select a monoscopic pattern for the input signal.
(6)
Set the screen mode at [NORMAL].
(7)
Confirm that a normal display is presented. Particularly, confirm that the diagonal wedges are normal,
without any particular steps or the like. (Confirmation of vertical interpolation processing)
(8)
Press the WIDE key of the remote control to change the screen mode and confirm that there is a
normal variation of [NORMAL]
→
[FULL]
→
[STADIUM]
→
[ZOOM]
→
[NORMAL]. However, the
screens for [FULL] and [STADIUM] look identical with each other at the monitor.
(9)
Change the input signal to PAL and SECAM, and make the same checks as for (1) to (8).
6-2. Video control signal check
(1)
Select VIDEO INPUT.
(2)
Assume the factory shipment setting mode with the remote control.
(3)
Enter the POSITION NTSC NORMAL screen.
(4)
Connect an oscilloscope to the check terminals of [EXPDAT], [EXPCLK], and [POSICE] on the jig
board.
(5)
Confirm that a signal output of 5Vp-p is generated. (Confirmation of the serial data output toward the
digital module)
6-3. HD signal mode check
(1)
Apply an HDTV signal input to the DVD/HD/DTV input terminals and select HD INPUT.
(2)
Confirm that a normal display is presented.
