CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
At the stage of RGB matrix, the analog RGB signal is generated and output at the RGB matrix stage, based
on this chrominance signal and the preceding brightness signal.
2-4. SECAM decoding
When a color signal of SECAM is received, IC5408 (SECAM decoding) receives a control signal from Pin 3
of IC5404 (PAL/NTSC).
In the inside of IC5408 (SECAM decoding), the chroma signal input of Pin 24 is processed for band-width
limitation at the BELL filter. After the signal is amplified at the limiter circuit, it is treated for FM demodulation
and de-emphasis. This signal is then switched with the preceding control signal and the resultant chromi-
nance signal is output from Pins 10 and 11.
When this signal input is entered in Pins 26 and 27 of IC5407 (1H DELAY), operation of interpolation is
carried out at the intervals of one hour and the output is generated from Pins 29 and 30. It is then entered
in Pins 7 and 8 of IC5403 (CTI).
In IC5403, profile compensation is carried out for chroma signals and the output is generated from Pins 11
and 12. This output is returned to Pins 51 and 52 of IC5404.

Information about the color system of the received signal is picked up from Pin 7 of IC5404 and entered in
Pins 24 and 25 of IC5407. According to this information, judgments are made for the presence of internal
circuit operation and AMP gain changeover.
